    This fun local Steel Band will have you up and dancing! Come and enjoy the fun. We will either be outside or in the Doris Roberts Gallery depending on the weather. Paid for by the Friends of the Richland Library.

    Geared toward elementary age kids who need a little extra help in math over the summer. A series of games, computations and hands on activities will be used to make math fun. There will be time to work on individual math problems with members of the Hanford High School Math Club. Please sign up in advance.

  14. First Day to Pick Up MonkeyDooz Art Canvases!

    July 15, 9:00 AM - 7:00 PM @ MonkeyDooz

    Beginning today, while supplies last, MonkeyDooz has art canvasses for kids under 18. Use the canvas to paint, draw, collage, stamp, stencil or decorate on the theme of, "Every Hero Has a Story... What's Yours?" Return the canvasses to the library by Monday, August 17th to be a part of the MonkeyDooz Kids Art Show in September!

    This is a Try it Tuesday Program Weaving is such a meditative, relaxing craft-and at the end of it, you have fabric! You don't need a lot of expensive equipment to take up weaving. We will learn how to build a simple loom on a piece of cardboard.

    Now that you have mastered Finger Knitting, try making and using a Knitting Rake. With cardboard, drinking straws and hot glue we will make a handheld device that mimics fingers so you can knit bigger items. Paid for by the Friends of the Richland Library.
